Notification According to CLP Regulation (PCN)
According to Article 45 of the CLP Regulation, companies that place hazardous mixtures on the market are required to provide information about certain hazardous mixtures to the relevant national authorities. These designated authorities then forward this information to poison information centers so that they can provide recommendations to laypersons or healthcare professionals in case of an emergency. Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation, adopted in March 2017, sets out the harmonized requirements for notifications to poison information centers (PCN), which have been in effect since January 1, 2021.
Unique Formula Identifier (UFI)
With Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation, the EU has harmonized the information requirements for the notification of mixtures in the context of health emergency responses. Since January 1, 2021, importers and downstream users are required to notify their mixtures in a harmonized format, and the Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) must be included on the mixture label.
Product Notification of Labeling-Required Products by COSICHEM at the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment
Every importer or manufacturer is required to notify their labeled product placed on the market in the respective member states. Detergents and cleaning agents, as well as biocides, must be notified even if they are not subject to labeling requirements.
The product notification by COSICHEM AG is carried out promptly and reliably at the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) in the required format. Since 2020, product notifications have been made at the European level through the ECHA portal. This relieves your employees and allows them to focus on their core tasks.
